RoseMary Anderson – 70


RoseMary Anderson, age 70, of Gaylord passed away Thursday, December 30, 2010, at the Sibley Medical Center in Arlington. Memorial Services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, January 8, 2011, at the Egesdal Funeral Home in Gaylord. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. Darwin Frauendienst will officiate.

RoseMary Anderson - 70RoseMary (LeBrun) Anderson was born on July 14, 1940, in Mankato. She was the daughter of Peter and Emma (Goracke) LeBrun. RoseMary was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth. In 1950, she moved with her family from Mapleton to Winthrop. She was a 1958 graduate of the Winthrop High School.

On January 28, 1961, RoseMary was united in marriage to Stan Anderson at the Little Brown Church in the Vail, Iowa. The couple resided in Gaylord. RoseMary was employed at Rosenberg’s candling eggs, Wiman’s and Fingerhut as a seamstress in Gaylord. She was the manager of Jolly Tundra in Winthrop. She also served the union as a steward, traveling around the area speaking about the union. She retired in 2003. For the past few years, she volunteered and then became the coordinator of the Sibley County Food Share. RoseMary and Stan shared 49 years of marriage and were blessed with two sons.

RoseMary enjoyed her card clubs; she loved to play any game and was good at all of them.  She also enjoyed her flower garden, fishing in Canada and Lake Washington, being in the boat, bowling, hunting deer until 2005, sewing, traveling, baking and going to the casinos. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends.

RoseMary is survived by her husband, Stan Anderson of Gaylord; sons, Todd (Judy) Anderson of New Auburn and Troy (Therese) Anderson of St. Cloud; grandchildren, Jennifer L. Anderson and her special friend, Zach, Josh Anderson and his special friend, Esteighna, and Brooke Dufner; great-grandson, Zachary Todd, Jr.; sisters, Pat Ziegler of Anoka, Betty Sandeen and her husband, Wayne, of New Sweden, and Shirley Stippel of Mankato; brother, Jim LeBrun and his wife, Diane, of Gaylord; sister-in-law, Arlene Schafer and her husband, Dennis, of Poway, CA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

RoseMary was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Emma LeBrun.
