Sibley County Food Share receives grant

Sibley County Food Share, 11 South 5th St., Gaylord, has been awarded a grant from Hunger Solutions to enable parents to purchase healthy, nutritional foods for their children. Foods such as fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, along with dairy products, eggs and juice may be purchased from local merchants with vouchers available from Sibley County Food Share.

These vouchers will be available to income eligible families on a monthly basis beginning July 12, 2010 through September 30, 2010 or until grant funds are depleted. Families with children through age 18 are encouraged to apply.

For more information, call Sibley County Food Share, 507-237-5253, on Mondays, 2-6 p.m., Wednesdays 3-7 p.m., and the first and third Saturdays of the month 9-11 a.m.
