Read Across Gaylord


How many pages can Gaylord read in one day?

On June 16th, folks across Gaylord will read, read, read to celebrate the 5th annual Read Across Gaylord.

Readers will report their pages read to the library and get entered into an hourly drawing.

Related events will be in the library and in the parking lot (next to library). Visitors may want to bring lawn chairs or blankets and a lunch!

The day’s schedule is as follows:
9 a.m. – Free Muffin and Beverage (as long as they last)
10 a.m. – Half-Pint Parties: Magic show, balloon animals and face painting
12 p.m. – Ice Cream Cones: Sponsored by Sibley County Dairy Assoc.
1 p.m. – Jill Kalz: Author of children’s books will read “No Snow for Christmas”
2 p.m. – Make a marching band hat
3 p.m. – Parade on Main: Wear your hat and make some noise!
4 p.m. – Read Across Gaylord Finished
6 p.m. – Library Closes
