Members of the Gaylord Fire Department and Gaylord Ambulance Service held a two hour joint training session Monday night with Mayo Health Systems of Mankato. Training focused on the services that Mayo Health’s “air ambulance” can provide. When should the helicopter be utilized, how much area is needed for landing, and what weather conditions prohibit flying? Those questions were answered by Mayo Health representatives at the training session. The helicopter created a buzz around town Monday evening as it landed directly behind Gaylord’s new emergency services building.
