Lakeview Home’s Board of Directors, last week, approved extending the agreement for interim administrative services at an increased cost.
The Board of Directors approved the addendum agreement with Zellner Senior Health Consulting, LLC of Eagan for services from July 1 to October 1, 2007.
Mary Nell Zellner has served as interim administrator at Lakeview Home since mid June 2006, when John Berger retired. Zellner had been employed by Pathways, a different consulting company, until forming her own business in March.
Although many of the duties will remain the same, Zellner will serve as the communication “point person” to the Lakeview Board, Gaylord City Council, and City of Gaylord leadership. She agrees to provide interim nursing home administrator services at an average of 24-40 hours per week.
The new fee will be $85/hour worked, round trip travel time, lodging (if applicable), meals, and mileage. Her previous rate was $70/hour.
As part of the agreement, the city must provide a minimum of 10 working days notice prior to October 1, 2007 if the city desires to extend the contract. If the city chooses to terminate the contract prior to October 1, the city would be responsible for paying the remainder of the contract fees that would have occurred at a 40 hour per week, plus any applicable expenses.
The City Council will consider the agreement this month.
