Sibley East’s Whitney Trocke pitched a no-hitter Saturday but the Wolverine softballers lost to United South Central 5-0 in the Le Center Tournament.
Walks and errors piled up for the Wolverines, especially early in the game. USC plated four runs in its first at-bat. That rally was fueled by two walks and two Sibley East errors.
The Wolverines managed three hits in the contest but could not produce a run. Tricia Thomes, Kim Hildebrandt and Jenna Felmlee recorded the hits for Sibley East.
S.E. 4 Trinity 11
Mark Standinger’s Lady Wolverines couldn’t keep pace with Trinity on Saturday as they fell 11-4 in the Le Center Tournament.
Jessica Barlage continued to be an offensive spark for Sibley East. Her run in the fourth inning tied the game at 4-4.
That would prove to be the end of the scoring for the Wolverines. Trinity meanwhile regained the lead with three runs in the fifth frame. Four more runs in the sixth inning sealed the win for Trinity.
